Considering the New ASUS Laptop
I am writing this entry on my old Dell Laptop.
I say old but this thing has no more than three years. Three Years! You pay upwards of $1,000 for something and it becomes antiquated in 3 years. That does not quite seem fair.
I love my Dell…it’s one of the D410s, which means its as small as can be. However, I make it big by connecting laptop to TV, I use my LCD TV as my monitor and I am good then feeling like I am king of the castle.
However, when I do this, I do not like to carry all the power cords over to the laptop so I relay on the battery life of the laptop. And right now, after 3 years, the battery life on my Dell simply sucks. I know that this is not a technical term but it’s a real term. I now get about 15 minutes of battery life.
I think that the thing is not even working or something. 15 minutes?
So, I might need an upgrade and I began reading an article called The ASUS UL30A-X5 Laptop Rules which talks about a new laptop that provides 12 hours of battery life. 12 hours?
That is worth the price of admission alone. Add to that all the components inside the machine are newer than the ones that I have. Thus, it might be time to shell out another $1000, nope, it’s actually just $650, and retire my old, beloved Dell laptop!
